Data processing and retention

Updated June 25, 2026

To do its job, Navi processes a limited set of data. Here's which, and for how long. The full reference is the Privacy policy.

Who plays which role

For your store visitors' data, you are the data controller and Navi acts as a processor, on your behalf. Navi does not reuse that data for anything other than providing you the service.

What Navi processes

  • Orders, read-only (status, tracking, contents), to answer your customers' questions.
  • The content of conversations with the assistant.
  • The documents in your knowledge base.
  • The visitor's email when entered for identity verification, and your contact email.

Before any access to an order's data, the visitor confirms their identity with a code received by email. They only access their own data.

For how long

Data is kept for the duration of the contract, then 30 days after termination (so you can export it), then deleted.

For your customers' rights over this data and how to exercise them, see Customer rights (GDPR).
